They have a good understanding of all mechanical areas, not just transmissions. Awesome service. Fast repairs

As soon as I talked to Jamie on the phone I knew this was the place to take my car after my clutch and release bearing failed. They clearly knew what my car needed. I'm back on the road quickly, and for way less than had I gone to the dealer.

These guys built my dodge 2500 diesel a couple year ago, i have put 100,000km on it and when i took it out of storage this spring it was not working right. I took back into Jamie and he cleaned up my battery terminals and serviced my transmission, I am back on the road and truck is working great. Jamie and the staff rebuilt the transmission on my 06 dodge diesel at 200,000 km. Its still going strong at 560,000 k. I took it in one day around 320,00 k with a shifting issue. They dropped the pan and cleaned a sensor. At the same time they noticed the mount broken on the transfer case. One hour in and out plus parts and I was on the road. I always get great service from the Staff at peterborough transmission. Thanks guys.

Took my Pontiac G6 in, tranny was slipping when shifting gears. Try did a quick trouble shoot, found corroded wiring, change it out and was good to go after a couple hours. Great staff, took the time to explain in layman terms what the issue was and how it was fixed. Highly recommended you visit Peterborough Transmission if you need help!

Took my dodge there b/c couldn't get my truck to go into park. After the inspection an a look at the repair and leaking line noticeable to the eye. The shop fixed up my truck fast, drives great and great service. Will be a repeat customer.

Great service, friendly staff, when i bought a ford i knew id need service sooner than later. They got it fixed in no time! Will be back to get a heated bumper so my hands don't get cold pushing it next time.

Went in today to have the transmission fluid changed on our Dakota truck. They told us would be ready in about 45 minutes. Was actually finished in about half an hour. Service was excellent. Very pleasant gentleman who looked after us. Would recommend them. Could be our imagination but the truck seemed to drive better. Happy we had this done. Price was good too!!

We have used Peterborough Transmission many times and have found them to be very knowledgeable and honest. On one of our visits there was a backing plate needing to be replaced, they were not sure if they bent it but replaced it free of charge. On our latest visit another shop told us that the problem was a hub bearing which Peterborough Transmission installed two years ago which was under warranty for five years. When we called them they did not hesitate to book an appointment for us to bring the vehicle in to be looked at. Are always willing to stand behind their work.

Peterborough Transmission rebuilt the transmission in my 2010 GMC Terrain 1 year ago and I just had it serviced and it is better than new.

About 12 years ago I had Peterborough Transmission build a turbo 350 with shift kit for my 66 Impala SS. It still works amazing to this day gets driven hard a little bit LOL. So this year the Transmission went in our Chevy Equinox and decided to take it to to Peterborough to have repaired. Cant beat the customer service and excellent workmanship. I would highly recommend this shop for all your Transmission needs.

Great SERVICE! They were booked for the day but they fit me in. I had a trans service performed for 1/2 the price then service in Cobourg. The young man that helped me even showed me and suggested I get the oil leak checked out. I would definitely recommend their service.

Fantastic Service! Jamie and his crew did an outstanding job fixing my Nissan Frontier. It had the unfortunate case of coolant leaking into the transmission. They did a complete transmission rebuild and built a separate cooler for the transmission so this problem wont happen again. The truck was only in the shop for 10 days. Fast quick service. It drives like a new truck. I'm so happy with the service they supplied, i will be returning every 20,000km for a transmission oil change.

The staff at Peterborough Transmission are great! We thought our truck had a transmission problem, but when it was looked at, it wasn't the transmission after all. The guys did change the transmission fluid and let us know that the problems had to do with a broken leaf spring. Thank you Peterborough Transmission!

My car was repaired and works better then it ever did,I had 2 estimates from others in town and was told that I needed a transmission,My general repair shop that doesn't do transmissions told me to take it to Peterborough transmission. Well it was a valve that they fixed it and I saved a bunch....not a major problem as I was told.

I recently relocated from the G.T.A., loosing the mechanic I had used for many years. After hearing new and unfamiliar sound while driving, I assumed it to be the transmission. After taking it in to Peterborough Transmission they informed me it was the Wheel Bearings, and detected another common wear item that was showing signs of potential future failure. They took care of both repairs very quickly and have since taken care of a couple other general maintenance tasks. Great place, great team, honest and straight forward.

I am used to shops in Toronto where one’s vehicle can be out of commission for several days, so you can imagine my delight when within one day you confirmed that the front wheel bearings were indeed faulty, that the front brakes were nearing the end of their useful life and offered me several cost options and some good advice and repaired the vehicle and had it back to me the same day. Your staff was kind enough to assist me by driving me to my home in the morning and delivering the vehicle that afternoon which was much appreciated as my wife has health issues and could not assist. The cost of the repairs was very reasonable, the shop clean and well-organized and your staff pleasant and professional. In all, I have to say that I was more than usually impressed and am very pleased with my neighbour’s recommendation. When I first took my wife out in the vehicle after the repair I commented that it drove as well as when we first bought it. Her response was that it seemed to her that it was better than that. I shall have no qualms about recommending you myself to others and thank you for your services.
